Spirit Movie Cast Who Is in the Film?
The confirmed lineup so far is:
- Prabhas as the lead, reportedly a police officer
- Triptii Dimri as the female lead
- Vivek Oberoi in a pivotal role
- Prakash Raj
- Kanchana
- Aishwarya Desai, a newcomer making her debut
Prakash Raj and Vivek Oberoi were confirmed through an audio teaser released on Prabhas’s birthday in October 2025, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. This is Prabhas’s first film with Vanga, while Dimri already worked with the director in Animal (2023). More names have not been announced yet.
Why the Female Lead Changed
Deepika Padukone was originally slated to play the female lead, but news agencies reported that she left because of scheduling conflicts, which opened the door for Triptii Dimri. There was plenty of online debate around the exit, so we only stick to the part that was reported. The Spirit movie cast changed before filming began, which is not unusual for a large production.
Spirit Movie Release Date March 5, 2027
Vanga and Prabhas announced in January 2026 that the film will reach theaters worldwide on March 5, 2027. Many fans had expected an earlier opening, so the date arrived as a surprise. After speculation about the production timeline, T-Series confirmed in August 2026 that there is no change to the schedule. The makers also say the film will come out in eight languages. As always, dates can still move, so follow T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures for official updates.
Spirit Movie Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga
Vanga writes, edits, and directs the film. He is known for Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal, all famous for intense, unapologetic storytelling, and Spirit is his first collaboration with Prabhas. Producer Bhushan Kumar has said that work on Animal Park will start only after this film, so Spirit is Vanga’s next release. Harshavardhan Rameshwar is reported as the music director.
Spirit Movie Budget: What Is Reported
The makers have not announced an official budget. An older report quoted Vanga as saying the producers allocated about ₹300 crore, and he estimated that Prabhas’s star power alone would bring in roughly ₹150 crore at the box office. Treat both figures as reported estimates, not confirmed numbers, since budgets for big films are rarely published and often change during production.
Spirit Movie Poster What the First Look Shows
The first-look poster arrived on New Year’s Day 2026 and quickly went viral. It shows a shirtless Prabhas with his back to the camera, covered in bruises and bandages, while Triptii Dimri holds a glass. A second poster, released with the date announcement, shows a wounded Prabhas by a window as Dimri lights his cigarette. Fans compared his rugged look to Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. The posters set a raw, violent mood, but they reveal nothing about the plot.
What Is the Story About?
There is no official synopsis. Vanga has said earlier that the story follows a police officer and how he reacts when someone close to him faces adversity, and reports describe Prabhas as an upright cop. Some outlets speculate that he takes on a powerful mafia syndicate, but that is only speculation. At Ultimate Fandom, we suggest waiting for official footage before trusting any theory, since fan-made plot leaks spread quickly.
Is There a Trailer Yet?
Not yet. Only the audio teaser and the posters have been released so far. Be careful with fan-made trailers online, since many look convincing but are not real. We will keep this guide updated on Ultimate Fandom when official video footage arrives.
Production Notes
Shooting began in November 2025, and the film was launched at an event with Chiranjeevi as the special guest. T-Series calls the release plan global, and the makers describe the film as a spectacle meant for audiences far beyond India. With such a large scale, the release schedule will depend on how quickly editing and post-production wrap up.
What Fans Hope to See
These are fan hopes, not confirmed details:
- A powerful Prabhas performance: a darker, more intense role than his recent films.
- Strong chemistry: between Prabhas and Triptii Dimri.
- Vanga’s signature style: bold storytelling and a big emotional core.
- Memorable music: songs and a score that match the film’s mood.
Final Verdict
Spirit has a major star, a director with a loud track record, and a producer who keeps defending the schedule. The Spirit movie cast is exciting even though only part of it has been announced, and the posters promise a gritty, serious drama. Many questions remain, including the story, the trailer, and the real budget. At Ultimate Fandom, we are curious and cautiously optimistic about how this big collaboration will turn out.
